Design Thoughts: I wanted to use a portrait of a beautifully freckled girl to demonstrate my black & white edit. I love high contrast looks because I think they convey more emotion. I took vibrant photo of a colorful/ fun looking girl and turned it into a moody/ thought-provoking image. Black & white edits have a lot of power over the feelings our viewers have when they look at our images. I've always been a fan of lots of color but I am starting to understand the distraction those colors can have on my images. Here's to trying new things and LOVING it!
Skills Used: - Channel Mixer adjustment layer - Black and white adjustment layer - Stamp visable - Layer mask - Black brush to expose holes in layer mask - Levels adjustment layer - Brightness/ contrast adjustment layer
