A Touch of Color
This submission portrays my use of the brushes and mask tools in Photoshop.
Design Thoughts: This is a picture from my wedding day. I cropped out our faces so the focus was on the details of the picture, particularly my bouquet and my husband’s boutonnière. Before I added the mask, I amped up the colors in the photo a bit. I really wanted my bouquet to stand out from the rest of the photo so I increased the saturation and the vibrancy. I also played around with the levels sliders a little bit to change the contrast to something more dramatic that would make the colors really pop. Then I added the mask and created a hole in it to make my flowers all pretty and colorful. I then brought back just a touch of color from my B&W layer by reducing the opacity just a bit. I like how it turned out!

• Cropping tool
• Photoshop masks
