Design Thoughts: This is an animated gif I created using Adobe Photoshop. Although I prefer using a specialized video editing program, like Adobe Premiere, it was very cool to learn how to make movement in a photo editing program. The footage I used to make this gif is from Fall 2016. I covered a trash car racing event in my college town for my school's newscast. This car flipping was one of the most exciting part's of the night! The driver was not hurt in the making of this video :) I thought it would be cool to take something like a car flipping, and make it into a looping gif. Now... I had some troubles uploading my infinite looping gif to Youtube... any suggestions? Drop me an email if you have advice for this. I was only able to figure out how to upload the one time loop to Youtube since technically a gif is a photo and Youtube is made for videos. BUT with all that being said... enjoy what I have and let me know how this could be improved on... it's only my first time experimenting with this photoshop feature :)
Skills Used: - File/ Import/ Video Frames to layers - Select video file - Scrubber handle to trim footage frames - Make frame animation - Photoshop layers - Window timeline to view animation - Text/ type tool - Color dropper to select complimentary tone from video - Transform/ move tool - Cut image size way down so animation file was not massive - File/ Export/ Save for web (legacy) - Choose gif file format - Give it maximum colors - Choose loop forever under animation options - Save :)
